Randy Santos claims Dominican Rep. LDC Hoops Agents weekly honour

Randy Santos had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Escuadron Ponton and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The had the game-high 35 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Ponton in his team's victory, helping them to crush Immortals (#2, 3-2) with 18-point margin 111-93. It allowed Ponton to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. LDC. The season is still on an early stage, but Ponton already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Santos had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He just recently signed at Ponton and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Santos has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.5ppg. Santos is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 7.0rpg) and averages solid 46.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Edwin Espinal (198-SF-1996) of second-ranked GIE Cibao Immortals. Espinal impressed basketball fans with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Immortals lost that game 93-111 to Ponton (4-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Espinal is one of the most experienced players at Immortals and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#7). He also registered 6.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Ponton's star - Brayan Rosado. Rosado scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was another key player of Escuadron Ponton, helping his team with a 111-93 easy win against #2 ranked Immortals in a game of the week. Ponton started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game in Western Conference. Rosado turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Rosado has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.8ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 8.8rpg (2nd best).
